what is "the catch" on these tickets that makes never been used tickets only good until June? The obviously are not normal tickets. what are they?

These are hoppers purchased from Disney through my nephew's soccer team. His soccer team will be at Disney at the end of May, and they were allowed to purchase park hoppers for friends and family at the same price.
