Are Villas at AK available for rack rate booking?

Does anyone know if we could book a 1 bedroom villa at the new Villas at Animal Kingdom or whatever it's called, for August 2008?

I can't find prices anywhere.

I have no idea....but I did hear a Front Desk CM telling a guest checking in last week that they are booked at 100% capacity for the foreseable future....she said they have 85 villas open which is about half of what they will have in the Lodge. The rest won't open until the new building is ready in Spring 2009....so it looks like they will be tough to get for everyone whether cash or DVC members.

On a side note, we loved our 1 bedroom and we are so glad we decided to do an add on there!

value view - 21 points per night Sun-thurs
standard view - 25 points per night Sun-thurs
savannah view - 30 points per night Sun-thurs
Concierge - 35 points per night Sun-thurs

points will be $10 to $14 per point depending upon who you rent from.

DVC members can make the reservation now - 11 months before - so go find someone now.

You can - have you been to the disney web site? I was getting some quotes & the website quoted me for AKV. Plus on this website under resorts - it lists resort rates for 2008.

I also think renting is a great idea - I've never done it but we just might next time. Good luck.

sorry but you are confused.

value and concierge are ONLY at Jambo not Kidani. They will be up and available this December.

Kidani will only have savannah and standard.
It should be finished in 2009.

Interesting, as when I call MS to make reservations, they told me that only savannah views are currently available in Jambo. If they are truly only value and concierge, why am I paying savannah view points?
