I'm headed to WDW this month and my little girl wants an Ellie pin/grape soda cap from UP. When I looked on Ebay, the only ones I saw were in the $150 range. Does anyone know if there are grape soda pins available to purchase at Downtown Disney?

Unfortunately, the Grape Soda pin was only available at the Disney Soda and Fountain Shop, located in Hollywood. That pin is a limited edition of 300 and sold out extremely quickly, which is why you see such the crazy prices on Ebay for it. None of the Disney parks ever sold a Grape Soda pin. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Thanks for responding. I'm going to have some very disappointed family members. I think all 5 of us would have bought that pin. Oh well, I guess I'll have to concentrate on the food instead.

They should of made more of them and sold them everywhere. They could've made some serious money if they did that. I would've deff. boughten one!

Also, If you order the UP DVD/BLURAY on disney.com , it comes with three free pins

Thanks. Our family really wanted the grape soda look. We may try to make our own pins. Either way, we're looking forward to our adventure...

I just returned from the parks and the only Up pin available was the LE one (bolded in the above post). I checked every pin store/kiosk for the open edition one and no luck. If you are looking for the LE pin, the only places I saw it was at the Contemporary gift shop (Fantasia, I think it is called) and the main pin booth at Epcot.

Edited to add: I found NO Up merchandise in any of the stores at the parks or Downtown Disney. I was extremely disappointed about this as there is tons of stuff for G-Force. I think that Pixar films get little merchandise love, in general. There was way more Wall-E stuff now than there was last year (the same year the movie was released).

Thank you for checking. This is such disappointing news. We loved UP, but the pins you've shown aren't really what we wanted. We wanted to be part of the Adventurer's Club. I really didn't want the "grumpy Carl" pin. You sure saved me a lot of time though.

No worries! Glad I could help out fellow "Up" admirers (even if the news was not the best news).

I know, I'm really upset about this as well. UP is one of Disney's best movies, far more better than G-Force in my opinion. I really wanted the Russel shirt (one with pins) in an adult size but they didn't even have it at the store, only online or at regular disney stores.

:goodvibesI know they are not disney pins but a few people on ebay sell a grape soda bottle cap w/ a pin through it to look like an ellie badge just search pixar up pins and they come up for like $3 each, we bought 2, wanted to wear them w/ my homemade up shirts for when we meet carl and the gang...ps i do own the up limited edition bottle pin, bought it on ebay the day it came out for $20 and it now sells for $150 on ebay, you have to be quick! We own all the up and walle pins!

On another board I belong to, I found this information regarding a new Grape Soda pin being released in Disney UK stores and online. From what I understand, Disney UK will only ship to the UK and the EU.

However, maybe the prices on Ebay will come down a bit now that there will be more of these pins released (I assume the backstamp will be different (DSF vs. Disney UK) but the front of the pin looks the same to me).

Anyway, just a heads up and an additional chance for those that missed out on the original release.

jessrose18, great find! Luckily, I have a friend that was able to pick one up for me during the release so I didn't even have to resort to Ebay.

Oh, I wish I'd known about the homemade pins earlier. We leave in 5 days, so I'd be afraid to order now. It's cool that UK is getting the pin. Maybe Disney will decide to release it here, too.
