Are umbrellas allowed in the parks?

I love my umbrella. I suffer with heat so this saves me. Plus it makes everyone walk around me. always use an umbrella.

Sorry if you don’t watch where you’re going. But I could pass out if I don’t have it.

If someone opens an umbrella in front of a crowd of people behind them that have nowhere else to go, or turns to look behind them and moves the umbrella suddenly, or bends down and moves the umbrella, those all can cause injury to, or at least bump and annoy, a passer-by who was still "watching where they're going."

Granted, are people often that close to your personal space that it would likely happen, maybe not. But when the park is very crowded and you're packed in like sardines, I would say yes. Some non-umbrella using people are oblivious, but so are some umbrella users.

Years ago we had heavy rains in the afternoons for quite a few of our days. We purchased four umbrellas at Disney World during that trip and we still love them. Those four umbrellas are now in our cars and we can use them at home when needed. Those ended up being some of our best souvenirs

DH used his umbrella all the time last September. For shade. He loved it!

This was quite common when I visited Tokyo Disneyland. Many ladies in Japan will use very elaborate parasols for shade. It didn't cause any problems that I saw, but everyone was so incredibly polite about everything I can't see how a problem could have started.

I don't have a huge problem with umbrellas at the parks, as long as everyone is being considerate about it.

I am sorry but I have no real problem with you having an umbrella but your comments come across, to me, as very selfish and that you are the most important person around. Let everyone walk around me and to bad if they are not watching. When you have an umbrella you have a responsibility to be aware of who is around you.
