Are they still charging extra for Fantasia buildings in ASMo?

I haven't heard much about this for a while. We requested Toy Story or Fantasia buildings through our TA but I want to phone ahead myself before we leave to make aure the request went through. My TA didn't mention anything about the extra $10 a night for Fantasia buildings but then again we DISers usually know more than most TAs.

Just wondering,

Ona ;)

I just made a ressie for ASM for next June.

I requested Fantasia and was told it was $10 more for preferred view.

Hope that helps :-)

We have ressies in a preferred room at the ALMo for October, Fantasia section and it was $10 more.

tigrrgrr - I noticed you are from Mascoutah, I'm just a few miles from you in O'fallon :)

We did the prefered room thing back in Jaunary at ASMo and it was so worth it. I think we had the best room in the whole resort. Steps aways from the pool, bus stop and food court. In Jaunary the pool noise was not a problem but I could see the pool noise a real problem in the warmer months. Your might request a room on the backside of fantasia if you want a quite room or a early night.

Thanks for the info. I'm not sure what to do yet. We are going in Sept. so it shouldn't be too noisy. I didn't request a room last time and we ended up in Mighty Ducks. It was really nice and quite but faaaaaaaaaaaaaar away from pretty much everything.

Thanks again,
Ona ;)

DH and I are booked for ASMu in October.
We are paying an extra $10 a night (only three nights) for the preferred view. I always just thought it was the preferred building. (Esp when I even requested the backside of the building.)
I can't imagine what a "preferred" view is at an All Stars. (And don't take that wrong. I liked our ASMo stay better than our two moderate stays.)

I sent a fax in 5 days before arrival asking for the "back side" of a preferred building.......they wanted to charge me 10.00 extra a night, when I arrived, and I said NOPE, give me the next best thing, as I am NOT paying for a Parking LOT view! I got Building 2 and was fine with that, not having to pay 40.00 extra!
