Are they releasing cabins gradually?

Logged on this morning (before the site crashed for me!!) and it looked like ALL of starboard verandahs on Deck 7 or 6 of a standard 4 day sailing (not around a holiday or school break) were unavailable. Did this happen yesterday or Monday when they rolled reservations out for other CC levels? Do you think more will pop up eventually? Hard to believe the demand would be that extreme already for a standard sailing! I have booked similar rooms much closer to the sail date in the past. Thanks!

They only show 8 available cabins/category at a time...and they seem to start with Port cabins--so the starboard side shows once the port side is filled. If you want Starboard, you'll likely either need to call DCL or see if a TA can book one for you.

As the PP indicated, they don't hold anything back, but they also don't show all availability online. You can book a port cabin yourself first, then later call DCL or your agent to switch to a starboard cabin.

When more port cabins are booked, starboard ones will start appearing online, but you don't need to wait for that.

This is why I love this board. I just looked at 4 different cruises and saw nothing but port side cabins. Now I know to check back later for a starboard. I would call, but it's not that big of a deal if we have to stay on port, I'd rather not be on hold on the phone for something that minor. Good luck to all of those who have to call with placeholders!!

Agree with this!

Just rang and nothing left for either sailing

For the Hawaii sailings?? WOW. I am so sorry. But please keep checking both online and calling. Lots of posters here that couldn't get anything but kept checking and were able to snag a rez. Good luck! :flower3:

Now that I think about it, it kind of makes sense why port rooms show first--they may be going by numerical order, and port side rooms are the lower numbered rooms.
