Since everyone is getting close to their FREE DINING vacation, I was just wondering if they were going to bring the Bounce Back Program back WHILE the free dining is going on? I would love to take advantage of this while I'm there in Sept. There would be no worries if they will offer the free dining again next year.

What do you all think?

:confused3

I would've thought it would be annuonced it they were going to do it next month. I would suspect it would be Nov/Dec IF it is repeated. It was only a pilot promotion, so no telling if we'll see it again.

There were rumors swirling around about this a few months ago when we were all waiting (impatiently) for this year's free dining to be announced officially. I would be extremely excited if it rings true...it may be the one thing that encourages me to book another package. If the "charging for magical express" and "tips not included on the DP" rumors hold true for the 2008 packages, I don't think I'll continue booking my trip as packages. At that point, I'll be able to get the components cheaper a la carte. Time will tell...

if there is no hurricanes this year i'm willing to guess WDW might drop free dinning next year. free dinning was there in 05 to intice people to come during the peak of cane season.

What is Bounce Back and how did it work?

BBP was offered to guest visiting WDW resorts mid November and most of December 2006. You could then booked your "next vacation" to take advantage of the free dining that was offered to them for most of August and September 2007. You had to book while you were a guest at the resort and if you didn't you lost the opportunity. Since this was the first time they offered this pilot promotion, some folks are wondering if Disney will offer it again. There have been many rumors about them offering it again, but so far there is no official word whether we'll ever see it again. I'm sure the folks here at wdwinfo.com will post the info for us if they hear anything.

BounceBack: If you stayed at a Disney resort in November/December 2006 AND knew about the pilot program (or were staying in one of the four resorts where it was actually advertised, via either in-room printed material or a booking desk in the resort lobby), you could book a Magic Your Way package with Free Dining for between about 8/5 and 9/29 check-ins. I think actually it wasn’t announced until much later in the year – the first promotion for this package was marketed (and available only) to Guests from the United Kingdom.

As for predictions: First, this is supposed to be another active hurricane season, with thirteen to seventeen named storms. But aside from that, the promotion could simply not have been offered prior to 2005 for whatever reason, because the Disney Dining Plan didn’t exist until January 2005.

It would be nice if they did Bounce Back in September & it would be for either the first half of 2008 or next September. That way I can pay for everything while i'm down there & go to The World as usual in September & take my tax return for my first trip to DL. That would be great, unlikely but great.

Nothing was really posted on the boards until after the bounce back program started, correct?

I'm just dreaming anyway. I would love to book while I'm there!

Well, they aren't going to offer any '08 promos until '08 rates are released and the terms of '08 DDP are disclosed. Towards the end of the summer they usually offer free water parks for Jan/Feb stays or something like that. If they offer bounce back I wouldn't expect to see it until later into the fall or winter. But that's just me.:confused3

August/September are ALWAYS the peak of hurricane season regardless if a hurricane hits land or not. There is absolutely no way to determine way in advance if the next hurricane season will be a quiet one. Heck, last year scientists predicted that it was going to be the worst season.

Now Disney could drop free dining after this year if they wanted to...however, it would be foolish for them to assume it's because of a chance of no hurricanes this year. You can't make next year's predictions based on this year...because well we see how that went with Hurricane Katrina in 05...and there was basically nothing in 06.

I could have sworn that Disney had something called "Bounce Back" when I was staying on property in 2002 but it did not include free dining. A paper was put under our door at the Poly and we were offered 40% off rack rate if we booked another Disney resort before leaving (I don't remember if there were restrictions). We never did get to use it.

Looks like it did happen & i'm taking full advantage of it as well. Yay for Disney dreams coming true, here's to free dining & POP in 2008!

There were other threads I saw that were from folks in Disney now or just got back that were finding bounce back info in there rooms when they came back from a day inthe parks. It seemed like the POP resorts were getting the offer for 08, not sure about any others.

I just got back from POP and did not get the offer (which I had every intention of taking advantage of)

I saw on a different website forum that people who were just at WDW received flyers in their resort room that if they booked their September 2008 vacation and paid a $200 deposit before checking out for their current stay they got a package with Free Dining.

That would be sweet.. If anyone has seen this please post.. Thanks..

Bounceback Free Dining Promotion
This offer is available ONLY to guests staying at one of the official Walt Disney World resorts between 8/31/07-9/28/07.

Using a special phone number provided on some resort restaurant receipts or on a flyer provided in some resort rooms, you can book a vacation package for next year, for stays between 8/30/08-9/27/08, at a Walt Disney World resort with theme park tickets and receive the Dining Plan for FREE.

If you don't get the offer on a receipt or a flyer in your room, I recommend asking at the front desk.

There is a 3-night minimum stay requirement. Reservation for 2008 must be made before you check out and no later than September 28 to qualify. A $200 deposit is required at time of reservation.

I have read many posts already of DISers that have just booked this while down there - oh, and also they have posted that the number to call from your room is ext 8844 :)

Hi everyone!
We just got back from All Star Music. We were there from 8/30-9/5. On 8/31 we had a letter on our table offering us free dining if we booked our next WDW trip Aug 30- Sept 27 of 2008 and applied a 200 dollar deposit. We booked for Aug 31-Sept 7, 2008. It is such a great deal! I can try and answer any questions...just ask. As my daughter and mom say...."Have a Mickey Day!":goodvibes
