Are These Good Choices?

I hope someone (or many people :thumbsup2 ) can help me with making my final dining decisions. My boyfriend and I are making our ADRs for our May trip on February 6th, and we were hoping to get some feedback about our choices. So far, these are the TS options we have chosen (FYI, we only have 6 TS credits for our trip, and so do not wish to use them on restaurants requiring 2 TS credits):

Planet Hollywod
Raglan Road
San Angel Inn
Tutto Italia
Wolfgang Puck Express (oops, meant Cafe, not Express)
Le Cellier

If you feel strongly AGAINST any of these choices, please let us know!

TIA! :)

Isn't WGP Express CS? WGP Cafe is TS.

I have heard that the Express is really good for a CS credit.

If that is the one you wanted then I guess you have one more TS credit.

I haven't eaten at any of those places!

I would skip PH, as you can get that anywhere. The rest of your places are all Epcot and DTD. Nothing wrong with this, but just consider you will have to travel to these places. If you have park hoppers and are planning a leisurely pace, it's probably all good. I usually like to have dinner in the park I know I'll be in, or the park I plan to hop to for evening fireworks/show/etc. We only eat in DTD on our first night b/c we don't arrive til 4 or 5 pm. All our other meals are in parks or resorts near the park we're in.

I agree with the previous poster, I plan my dining on where I will be on that day.

I do like Raglan Road.....we have eaten there not too long ago and had a fine meal with entertainment at night, not sure if they still do that..

Not a fan of San Angel... no... too dark and the food is not great. JMO

Everyone loves LeCellier, so if you have a reservation, which is hard to get, I would keep it. It is one that we have done in the past but have not done lately as to me it is good, but not worth fighting for a reservation as there are others we like as well.

I have not done Tutto Italia, but have heard good things.

And Wolfgang, have only done the express......there are so many others restaurants that I prefer to eat at, at the resorts, in Epcot, that I kind of skip DTD other than Raglan Road.

Planet Hollywood, just not where I would dine, when at WDW.....I can do that elsewhere. I prefer to do dining ala Mickey so to speak when in WDW..

I've heard some pretty bad reviews of planet hollywood and San Angel Inn, but the atmosphere in San Angel inn is memorable and very nice.
I, myself had a very bad experience in Wolfgang Puck Express. Service was terrible, and my food took over an hour to get to me. I about walked out and gave up, but when I did get it, it was pretty good. Most people love WPE though, so you should still give it a try.

I'm not a fan of Planet Hollywood, but the rest are good choices.

As a few posters already mentioned, make sure those choices will fit into your schedule. If you plan on spending 3 nights in Epcot and 2 at DTD then those ADR's will be fine. If not, then I would rethink those choices since you will be spending alot of time traveling back and forth.

I have to say we were disappointed by the San Angel Inn too....you can enjoy the ambience just fine by doing the boat ride and wandering around the little market. I also agree w/pp that Planet Hollywood may be kind of uninspired.

Have heard good things about Kona Cafe or you may really enjoy a breakfast buffet at Chef Mickeys or Crystal Palace (these are character meals!). Yak and Yeti at AK sounds intriguing to me and many on these boards love Boma. Also, if you will be catching a Fantasmic show, doing the dinner package at DHS may save you a bit of waiting...and these shows get very crowded too.

HTH and happy planning!

I have to mention, we don't intend to be in the parks very late, so travelling to Epcot or DTD isn't a big deal for us.

Thanks for your feedback everyone!

My husband and I both like Raglan Road and Le Cellier, and we loved Wolfgang Puck Cafe. I haven't tried Planet Hollywood at DTD, but have eaten at Planet Hollywood in other cities and wouldn't recommend it. I would replace it with a restaurant at one of the resorts, like Boma at AKL (our favorite!) or Ohana or Kona Cafe at the Poly. If you go to Boma it will give you a chance to check the resort which is AWESOME!

Then your choices are fine. I would skip Planet Hollywood though and try something else in DTD. We really like House of Blues.

Given the responses, I think I'll skip Planet Hollywood and head to Boma instead!

Thanks everyone! You've been a big help :thumbsup2

With the change from Planet Hollywood to Boma's, I have to say, I'm hoping your choices are good.

We will be calling the same day as you for ADRs and are planning on several of the same restaurants: (Le Cellier, San Angel Inn, Boma's, and Raglan Road). :rotfl:

We ate at Italy last trip and really enjoyed it.

Good luck on Friday. Hope you get all the ADRs you are looking for.

I would skip Planet Hollywood and San Angel Inn. Planet Hollywood is as generic as they come and San Angel Inn is not great by any stretch of the imagination.

If you aren't going to have a car you may not want to have so many ADRs at Down Town Disney. The same could be said of Epcot depending on what your schedule is for the parks and where your hotel is.

Out of those restaurants I have been to Tutto and Le Cellier! Love them both!!!!!

Planet Hollywod Good
Raglan Road Never Been
San Angel Inn Never Been
Tutto Italia Great
Wolfgang Puck Express Never Been but my family has & loves it
Le Cellier Good

I know a lot of people don't like San Angel Inn, but we had a fantastic meal there. The only problem was the service - it was terrible! But, it think I would keep that one. The atmosphere is very Disney. :thumbsup2

I agree with the other posters that said no to Planet Hollywood. I think I would change that one - just because you can go to a PH almost anywhere. I think I'd switch for something you can only get at Disney - like Sci-Fi, 50's Prime Time, Whispering Canyon Cafe, 'Ohana (we didn't like it, but most people do), etc.

I hope you have a great trip! You have made some really good choices. :goodvibes

Hey all,

I booked my restaurants, and made only a slight change:

Planet Hollywood (the menu looks good to us, and we've never been to one)
The Plaza (thought it would be easier to stay in MK this day)
San Angel Inn
Tutto Italia
Wolfgang Puck Cafe
Le Cellier (the rep who took the reservations advised that these were running out FAST!!!)

Thanks again for everyone's help! :thumbsup2

Skip Planet Hollywood and San Angel Inn. If you're spending the money to eat, eat somewhere good. You can do Planet Hollywood almost anywhere and the food isn't that great.

And San Angel Inn, if you don't want to see what you're eating then eat there. But any Mexican chain restaurant is better than here. The 1 time we ate here the food was bland and not hot. It was extremely dark and the service was bad. I wasn't feeling so hot after I left either.

You might want to try somewhere like O'Hana or Kona Cafe, Chefs de France, Boma, WCC. Most of the best restaurants are actually at resorts not at the parks.
