we will be in disney easter week and was wondering if these attractions were worth the wait. AK- Festival of the Lion King, Pocahontas & her friends& Maharajah Jungle Trek. Also at MGM- Honey I Shrunk the Kids.

The only show I have seen that you mentioned was the Lion King at the Animal Kingdom and I would highly recommend it. It is excellent!

Festival of the Lion King is a definite must see.

Lion King is definatly worth it. One of the best shows on property.

Maharajah is excelent as well. It's a walk-through so there won't be a line.

The other two I would recommend if you have young children and you have extra time. Both are cute, but not a priority by any means IMO.

I think HISTK is a hoot. The Lion King show is also excellent. :earsboy:

Honey I Shrunk the Kids at MGM is a playground. I would avoid this at all costs!! It's not like the typical open-space playground where the parents can sit on benches and chat while the children exhaust themselves. No, here, the parents are expected to follow their child. This means crawling through tunnels after a running child. It means either following the child down the slide or looking desperately for the ending point before the child arrives at the bottom...this is only if the child decided to actually go down the slide instead of running off to another area of the playground. Do your blood-pressure a favor...skip this!

I would agree that you really should see Lion King. I've heard Pocahontas isn't worth it...I definitely wouldn't waste any time waiting for it.

I should add that there is a Honey I Shrunk the Audience 3D show at Epcot. I actually haven't seen it, but it is supposed to be funny and cute.

I haven't been to Pocohontas, but I think that the jungle trek is worth it, it can be a lot of walking though. The Festival of the Lion King is an amazing show so definately go see it.

As for the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground, you really have to watch your children. It's one of those playgrounds where you go enter a tunnel in one area and come out in a completely different area.

"Honey, I Shrunk the Audience" is a 3-D movie in EPCOT. It's not the best 3-D in WDW, but it's still cute. Not to be confused with the playground in MGM,that- you avoid with kids, it can be a nightmare.

Festival of the Lion King is our favorite show in all of WDW.

Lion King is a definite should see, Honey I Shrunk the Kids is a playground ...that's your call.....at 53 years old with no little ones we skip it, never went to Pocahantas....jungle trek was good, but go early in the am to see the animals moving about! Flights of Wonder at AK is a live bird show....it's great....people who are afraid of birds should not attend however since the trained birds are flying, some fly over the audience.

This past Jan. we saw "Festival of the Lion King" for the 1st time. My 60yo mother said, "This is the best thing at Disney. We should've been seeing this every trip".

She's coming with us on our August trip & has already said that is the first thing she wants to see.

I'd pass on Pocahontas. It's okay if you need a time killer but that's about it.

We are two gown =ups we think Pocahantas is very cute show. It is not long and cute animals in the show. It nothing like the Lion King, but cute netherless. It take the time it go see the show and you form own opioions of it. :confused3

We love the FOTLK...it's a 'must do' every trip. Pocahontus is cute, my dd enjoyed it, and it was nice to sit and relax for a bit. Just try to get a seat that's out of the sun!! The Jungle Trek is fun....dd and I took dh on it last June, he had never done it. He actually liked it. It's very peaceful, and pretty cool since it's all shaded.
The Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground is a big 'must not do' for us. We did it when dd was 6..never again. Way too many kids running frantically all over the place. The attraction in Epcot is fun though.

we have only seen FOTLK and it is definitely worth it. I loved this show.

Festival of the Lion King is a MUST SEE! I would also highly recommend the Jungle trek and Honey I Shrank the Kids. I haven't seen Pocahontas, but have heard mixed reviews.

Enjoy.

Festival of the Lion King, in my opinion, is the best show in WDW. Pocahontas is cute, especially if you have small children and not that much of a wait. Jungle Trek is a walk and a nice place to relax for awhile. Honey I Shrunk the Kids is a playground for kids to play in. You might mean Honey I Shrunk the Audience, which is a 3-D movie at Epcot. It's good, but may frighten little ones.
