are there tandem bike rentals at WDW?

is there any place at WDW that rents tandem bicycles? (bicycle built for 2)

They had bikes for 2, 4 and 6 at BoardWalk when we was there a couple years ago. The Boardwalk looks like a fun place to ride too. You go all the way around all 5 resorts there.

Actually quite a few of the Disney resorts have surrey bikes (tandem bikes) or just regular bikes. So if you're interested and staying at a Disney Resort inquire there, or to make it easy they also have them at Disney's Boardwalk resort as well. Talk at you later!

don't the surrey bikes carry several people?
i'm thinking of the traditional bicycle built for two (a regular looking bike that's longer, with one person sitting behind the other and both pedalling)..

we will be staying at a number of resorts, so i'll check all of them...
we always rent bicycles, but i never paid attention if tandem bikes are available ..

Yes, but . . .

This is from the 2004 edition of "Birnbaum's Walt Disney World."--p. 211.

"Bikes are available for rent at Fort Wilderness, Old Key West, Wilderness Lodge, Port Orleans, Caribbean Beach, Boardwalk, and Coronado Springs.The cost is about $8.00 per hour or $22.00 per day; tandem bicycles are offered at SOME locations."

Thus, they are available at some of the locations, but not all of the locations, and the book doesn't say which ones.
