Are there such things as a one day cruise?

Does anybody know if there are any boats that sail just for one day? I remember as a kid going on a "cruise to no where" but have no idea what company it was.

I am looking for something to "sail" from Port Canaveral.

Carnival and Royal Caribbean still do one and two days cruises-to-nowhere. I'm not sure about out of Port Canaveral though. Usually when a ship repositions, there may be a cruise to nowhere. When the Carnival Miracle comes to NY in the spring, after wintering in Florida, she does a cruise to nowhere, and also in the fall when she is repositioning from Caribbean cruises to Fall Foliage Canada cruises there is usually a cruise to nowhere to get the ships days in line to cruise out on a weekend.

The shortest cruises that Royal Caribbean does is three nights. The only time they do one nighters is when they are introducing a new ship and they are bringing it to the home port or for travel agents and members high on the loyalty ladder.
