I did'nt think you could use dvc points to stay at the poly?
I'm with thunderbird1, for the same reason. WL looks really nice but it and Fort Wilderness have absolutely no appeal to us (especially DS) because it looks just like we are at home. QUOTE]
Mine is the exact opposite...with regard to Saratoga Springs...it doesn't feel enough like home. (let me explain) The *real* Saratoga Springs in NY is my hometown and the Disney version really does not capture its "essence" imo. Aside from the names of some things (High Rock Spring, Congress Park, etc) and throwing some horse memorabilia around, there really isn't much of a link to home for me. It certainly looks like a nice resort, but just doesn't look anything like what I know Saratoga Springs to be.
Well, I think AKL is so beautiful. We've visited several times to dine and we always take the time to explore a little. The only thing is it's so far removed from anything but the Animal Kingdom. And I love the Animal Kingdom, but I think we would feel so far away from everything else. All the hoop-a-la. I like hoop-a-la which is why we like the monorail resorts and the Epcot Resort area. Also, it seems to me if you were to book a standard room vs. a savannah view you might get an awful room right there in front where the buses come up OR if you book a savannah room it appears that some of the views wouldn't be so great.
I don't know - I want to stay there but I have reservations about it. One day what I think we'll do is a split stay. Maybe a couple of nights at AKL and then switch to one of our favorites. I'd love to stay in concierge and do the Sunrise Safari. Or, we thought about taking a short trip and staying there vs staying there for our main longer trip.

I like the Boardwalk and GF, and I used to think we'd get around to staying at both some day. Then we stayed at YC last summer and loved it so much, that I don't know if I can stay anywhere else. We really enjoyed SAB, so I guess the lack of SAB at the other hotels might prevent me from staying at them.
Animal Kingdom Lodge.
I think it's a beautiful resort.....LOVE the restaurants......incredible views/surroundings......but......the only transportation available is bus service. And it's SOOOO far isolated from everything.
