Hi:

Are there pics of the undated riverside and bayou rooms anywhere? I was on deb wills and the bayou rooms looked like they had the same bedspreads as years ago so I didn't think it was of the updated rooms.

Thanks,

Deb.

cottontail,
Here are our photos from our January 2005 trip. We stayed in Room 8030 of Acadian House, which had been refurbished. I do have a couple other photos of the hairdryer and ironing board that aren't on this page. Sorry I don't have more of the room itself.

Wow, you're room was really lovely, more deluxe than moderate I'd say. It resembles some of the Saratoga pics I've seen. Excellent photos, thanks.

Hi Mike:

Your pics are great, I have a neighbour going down to the riverside, I wanted to show some room pics, as they have seen the rustic rooms but not the mansion rooms, thanks alot. Your pics will also show them the things there are to do there, the boats, bikes, and beautiful grounds. Thanks again for taking the time.

Hi, we just got back from POR and stayed in Building 36 in Alligator Bayou. The room was redone and so cute!! The theme was great and the rooms seemed a lot nicer than the pics I have seen of the bayou rooms before.

Great pictures - we go in a week! The one thing I always seem to notice about POR photographs is that it seems as if there are only a handful of people staying there! Are all these photographs taken REALLY early to avoid the crowds, or is it actually like that?

It looks about as relaxing as it could possibly get, considering you are only minutes away from the biggest crowd storms in documented history!

Hey Mike:

The photo that is # 23, has a two storey building with a parking lot right out front, what building is that?

Thanks,

Deb.

Wow! Those interior pics are really nice....I changed resorts yesterday...mostly due to the fact I thought the pics I had seen looked old and worn out...I didn't want DH to be disappointed.

Now I'm kind of leery...I'll probably end up in the dingiest room at WL...with two queen beds instead of the king I had reserved at POR...plus spent more $. :confused3

Beautiful pictures. Makes me more excited to be able to stay there in November.

We haven't seen the newly renovated AB rooms at POR, but we stayed in Magnolia Terrace (connecting rooms) last month. The are GORGEOUS!!! Here are some pics!!

WL is really nice and i'm sure you'll be happy....and at the WL you'll have a balcony.....which you wouldn't have at POR....

Have just returned from POR - have loads of pics - will post once processed and scanned (stayed AB)! Loved it.

Thanks for posting the Magnolia Terrace rooms. That were DBF and I are staying in Sept. We live in "Cajun Country" in Louisiana so we were not interested in staying in Alligator Bayou.

I see now I am making the right choice in staying in the Mansion's.

Just to be sure you are aware. Asking for the mansions is only a request. You are not guaranteed a room in the mansions even though Disney does their best to accomodate. :flower:

Looking forward to seeing them, Mark. We've requested AB for our upcoming trip, so I'm very interested. :cool1:

We loved AB - we are smokers :confused3 , don't shoot us now - and so they put us in building 18. Handy for the food court though!! I have to say, nobody should worry, regardless of the accom. Whether it's AB or the mansions, everything was first class. I'll get a proper review out once we recover from our jet lag, but AB was FAB. Lush greenery, great room maintenance, nice people all round.

If anyone has a complaint, they must be used to 5 star service year round. Room was average size, but fine. All have the mini-fridge (holds 24 cans of Bud and some soda). One thing I would mention - there was just the 2 of us and we are average size or less - we did find the bed kind of small but very comfortable. If there are only 2 of you, it might be worth the extra for a king bed if available.

Word of warning; the resort is full to capacity, therefore, although the staff will try to accommodate your requests (they met ours), it might not always be possible.

TIPS: buy the mugs; hire a boat; quiet pools are not quiet between 2-6 pm! (But great at 9 am and 11 pm)! ; be good to your housekeeper (we came back one day and Eeyore and a couple of Teds had switched the TV on and were watching the Disney Channel from the bed)! ; be prepared for long waits (over 30 minutes) from the parks back to the Hotel - consider catching a bus to the FQ (it's only a 10 minute walk to POR, and a nice walk at that); explore the property fully; see Pianoman Bob between Wednesday and Sunday in the bar! Feed the ducks and try the boat to DTD.

Thanks, I've had to switch to POR, and I'm so confused!!

I was talking to dh about the Full size beds, and he lol he thought the beds at the Polynesian (roratonga) were small!! Good thing we're on vacation and we LIKE each other!! :rotfl:

now if I can just quit worrying about POR!!

Just a suggestion, but if the double bed is too small for 2 of you, there are 2 beds in the room, why don't you each just take a bed for yourself. :goodvibes

I've posted some pictures of the Riverside at

Apologies for the quality of some - camera a bit old, not digital and scanner not much better!

The internal room pictures are of AB but most are external shots. Who wants to stay in their room anyway, when you are in such a lovely place?

Hi Mark:

Thanks for posting your pics, they are beautiful. The landscaping is everything to me.

Deb.
