Are there other viewing spots for Illuminations?

Just made a adr for Crown and Rose for 720pm in hopes to see Illuminations . From some of the responses in previous posts I have read how it doesn't always pan out,esp. with the wind factor thing.Is it better to just walk outside and try to get an outside standing spot instead.In one of the guide books they mentioned the dock in Italy as being a fab spot for viewing,could always eat @ the rest. there.Any thoughts or suggestions on that ?

There are all sorts of places to view Illuminations! If you want an up front ,right against the railing seat you're going to have to pick your spot at least one hour, if not longer, prior to the show.The dock in Italy would be one of those spots.

There are several places we like to watch Illuminations.From the porch on the second floor of Japan.The top steps in Canada,the bridge between Great Britian and France to name a few!

You have one of the prime locations to view the show, and you have a good ADR time. You should be finished with everything (meal, desert, etc) just as the show starts. You can then judge whether the wind is right or not, and still have time to move to a better spot. Chances are, the wind won't be a problem.

There are plenty of great spots to watch Illuminations from all around the WS lagoon. While some spots do get taken an hour or so before the show, there are plenty of other spots up against the railing which are still available as little as 15 - 30 minutes before the show. Unless you are directly under a tree or behind a structure, it is hard to have a bad spot for Illuminations.

I waited a good 30 minutes to be at the front as not everybody waits at the ropes untill they drop so you can go to the railing. However this was of season.

Wherever you go and watch it enjoy. It is the best show ever (my personal opinion of course)
