Democrats where you live? I was talking with my dad. He thinks there are more Republicans.
In his words it's the dream of the little guy to be the rich guy who benefits from the Republicans. His words :rotfl: .

What do you think?

I dont know if Blue/White has a "preference" as to their political party.

I live in a very White Collar Dad/SAHM neighborhood - with mostly elephants. Infact, my entire county, is Republican.

ALthough, my state - especially the City of Chicago itself, are Donkeys.

Now, I am an IT Tech - but a former bartender, and my guy is blue collar (as discussed in the previous "Blue Collar Boys make me swoon" thread ;) ) And we are republicans.

The ONLY stance I wish the Repub's would drop (as a whole) is abortion. Which is another reason I positively admired Ronald Reagan.

My neighborhood is your standard middle-class working guy/gal neighborhood. It is also more than 75% Republican according to voting patterns--more if you only look at primary voting. It must have something to do with being in Texas.

Dittos :goodvibes Blue/White voting patterns don't apply here in my neighborhood. :confused3 I have many white collar Liberal friends and blue collar Conservative friends.
I'm a fiscal conservative soccer mom who didn't vote for Clinton :cheer2:

The county I live in is REPUBLICAN with a capital R, 80/20 in most elections. There is a pretty good socio-economic mix. The only neighbor whose political affiliation I am aware of is a Democrat. (He is a 40 something teacher) I am a liberal Democrat.

I thankfully live in a VERY blue area. I would say your father's read on the make up of Republicans applies in our community. When I was in high school though, myself and all my friends came from white collar Republican households. All of us have ended up liberals, although I wouldn't say we are necessarily supporters of the democratic party. What is more interesting is that many of our parents no longer vote Republican either.

Although most of Southern Illinois is considered Republican, I live in a Democrat-dominated County.

CathrynRose, how did Reagan handle it that you wish today's R's would? He was pretty outspokenly pro-life, wasn't he? I thought I read an article he wrote about it one time...
I know blue collar R's and white collar D's--all mixed up. As it should be!
