Are there lockers at HS big enough to hold the droids?

I really want my son to be able to do the build a droid at HS, but I don’t want to have to carry it around all day. Will the Droid Depot hold it for you, or are there at least lockers big enough at HS to be able to store them in? Thanks.

I can't believe no one answered this question and almost 500 people read it. Anyway, if you are staying on property, perhaps they will deliver to your resort and you can pick up the front desk? If you are driving, perhaps have someone take a run to the car and leave it in there? If it's very hot, I would take any batteries out of it. Have a great trip!

We had ours delivered home. No way was I going to walk around the park with that thing even for a second.

I'm intentionally doing a late build so we won't have to deal with it as much.

At the front of the park there is a virtual locker. It is a "bag check." I used it to store my lightsaber blade during the day. You give them what you want to store and they give you a bag claim check. I think it was about $10 for the day. It is located on the right side just after you enter the park.

Package delivery to the front of the park or to your resort is paused and not an option right now.

The 30 minutes my kids spent at the designated BYOD area with other kids and all their Droid Depot droids was definitely a highlight of our time in Batuu.

Maybe my son is the oddball, but he loved carrying the droid around in the backpack. It interacted with other droids it came close to, and with areas in the park. Plus, he kind of felt cool that he had an experience that was somewhat unique. It isn't that big, and again, he thought carrying it around was fun.

I carried mine around more than my wife. We took her BB unit to the car since its head was a bit difficult to keep on. Thankfully the sling we ordered on Etsy came with a clasp for it. You'll get a lot of people asking about them if you enjoy talking to people while you're in line. I cut my R3 off whenever I went on rides that weren't ROTR.

Any updates to this? Will they deliver droids to resorts?
we're staying at GS in about 10 days, and 2 of us have droid depot reservations, and 2 lightsabers. None of us want to carry any of it around for long...
Do you have to buy backpacks for the droids, or are they provided?

I researched all of this for our original 3/2020 trip to WDW, and then that was cancelled and I've been compeltely in denial that we might actually get to go this time...trying to catch up...

They have not resumed delivery to resorts or the font of the park yet. They do not provide backpacks for the droids. They have backpacks for them, but those are an extra cost. They provide a cardboard box with a handle for carrying them (similar to a Build a Bear box). I found the box pretty awkward to carry, so was glad I did my build just before taking a pre-planned break back at our hotel after an extremely early morning (back in 2019 during the 6 AM openings). When we were there in January this year, they were out of boxes and just gave you a plastic shopping bag to carry, but I think they are back to giving out the boxes now.
