Hi, I am from the UK and I see that one of our travel companies is offering free dining up to 17th Dec 2009. So I was wondering whether historically disney also offers promotions in the early weeks of December if you book directly??

(We will be staying at the poly from 11th Dec until 18th Dec, and weren't planning on doing the dining plan - but would certainly take advantage of any 'free dining'!!):thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Not sure on this. Have only heard of, and taken advantage of, free dining for AP holders for 4 days in Dec 2008. They were something like the 14th-18th. But I am sure they must offer different deals for UK? The early part of December is usually booked pretty solid due to Pop Warner week when they have school groups come to compete from all over the country. Not likely they would offer free dining during that timeframe. But that is interesting that they are offering free dining to you already for December. There are not discounted rates out for that time right now for us here. With the exception of the 40% off military deal which is being offered to military families until 12/23.

It seems at the moment that this offer relates to one particular travel company (who in the current climate probably have the majority of the UK's 'package' holiday market) - but it is very specific and you have to make all your travel plans with them - which is not something we will be able to do - i'm sure there will be those that do benefit from it though!!:thumbsup2

For 2010, only time will tell. In August 2009, the 2010 season dates and rates (holiday, value, summer, regular, etc.) should be posted and I think at that time once we know when the value seasons are then we might be able to better guess when steep discounts will be offered. Though with the economy problems (if it's still taking a nosedive), perhaps chances are better for discounts throughout 2010.

thanks Kelly!! :thumbsup2

I would prefer the economy to improve, but if not, I hope they do offer some discounts!!:thumbsup2
