Are there kettles in the room or can housekeeping provide them does anyone know?

I know there are coffee machines, but I need cooled boiled water for making baby formula so need to determine whether we need to buy a travel kettle or not.

Thanks

I'm not sure of Kettles, but you could boil the water in a pot, or we always just used bottled water at room temperature. but that depends on your baby and whether they will take it at room temp.

Thanks for replying Clarabelle,

The UK guidelines are that we shouldn't give bottled or filtered water to babies, only cooled boiled. I wonder if your bottled water is different to ours?

I don't know, we have well water at our house, I have a 10 year old and a 3 year old. I think for the 10 year old I maybe boiled water once!! After that, I just mixed the formula with tap water, and heated it in a pan of water. By the time I had my next child, (it was a long haul getting that second baby!!) I started using boiled water, then would just use tap water or if we were out of the house, use bottled water. They are both perfectly healthy. My doctor never told me not to do this. I would double check with your peditrician, maybe it has to do with the water where you are?

Thanks C,

The reason we have to use cooled, boiled is because of the mineral contents I'm sure, also in our bottled water there is very high sodium apparently.

I guess water in the US is healthier than here in the UK? LOL

If you are staying in a 1BR or larger, you will have a kettle. If not you might try buying canned formula at a local store near WDW. I've seen a post, where the person used distilled water, usually not too costly, and use that to mix the formula.
If all else fails, try the closest restaurant, see if they can help you with some boiled water.

Have a great trip.

There is definatly a tea kettle, I would boil water and put it in a pitcher full of ice and tea bags and make ice tea for myself. So you should not have a problem.

There's a teakettle in the room for boiling water on the stove to make tea. You could also just run clear water through the coffee maker. It gets boiled that way, and then let it cool.

I did have to request one at OKW in Feb. They said they were not leaving them in the units anymore. Don't know if this is DVC wide or just OKW OR just the person I spoke with. :)
But, you can get one if there is not one in the room. As to boiling the water and following directions, GOOD for you!!!! IMHO, don't analyze it, just do it, I don't mess around with a baby's health.
