Are there July 2014 discounts?

Too early. If you are planning on going in July, I would suggest booking something basic to make sure you are able to book any dining reservations and take advantage of the 180 +10 to get those hard to get and prime time ressies. You can always change your resort, check in or check out date once any special offers are released!

For a room only reservation you need to pay one night deposit but can cancel up to 5 days before with no fees and get your deposit back.
" CANCELLATION POLICY: In order to receive a refund of your deposit, including credit card deposit transactions, notification of cancellation must be received 5 days prior to your arrival date."

Be careful if you plan on booking just to see if a discount will come. If everyone does this, there will be no discounts. Disney discounts rooms because they need to book them and if they are booking fine then no discounts will come.

We saw this a few months ago when room discounts leaked. I literally saw Riverside and All Star Movies become excluded from the deal just a few days before it went live. Those resorts were booked fine and thus no need to be discounted.

Besides that, booking now guarantees you nothing. You still have to call like everyone else on the morning of the discount and there still has to be discounted availability. Many end up having to change resorts anyway so there is zero to gain and everything to lose by doing this tactic.

Unless you plan to go with or without a discount, please hold off.

We do plan on going with or without a discount, but of course I would LOVE a discount. I have already booked our flights, so our dates are set. (July 27-August 7) So, I am wondering what I should do?!? I am not set in stone which resort...whichever one I can get the best deal on!

I see an offer for August 17 and September 2, 2014, but not my dates. Maybe I am not looking in the right place?!?

If you are going and resort is based on discount I would book so you can make your ADR's and stuff on time. The discounts will come and you can change accordingly. I have my trip booked for May @ WL.....if the discounts aren't favorable I will likely downgrade to a mod (probably CSR as that is usually included in discounts) but we are still definitely going.

Actually, if everyone does this, Disney will have no incentive to offer a discount. Disney bases discounts on filling unbooked rooms. If everyone books, there very well could be no discounts.

This happened back in October when a couple of resorts were excluded from the promotion due to being booked at a reasonable level.

Be very cautious in booking something while expecting a discount to come. I highly recommend against this tactic. Only book if you already have a discount or if you plan to go regardless.
