I'm crunching the numbers to see how much free dining would save me but I would need to change my dates! I already booked my flights.
Southwest going and JetBlue back. Will either or both change me to change my flight dates? I could not find this on either web site.:confused3 If they do how much?

My husband is going to kill me because we originally were going to go Dec 10 to 19th but I changed it to the 2nd because I thought that was going to be covered! I know the 10th still wouldn't have but I would just have done a split stay for the first 2 days! Not happy right now but there is still hope!
Thanks in advance.

I know that SWA does not charge a change fee. However, if the price of the flight you are changing to is different than what you paid when you booked your original flights, you will need to pay the difference in price or get a credit to be used on a future flight (for travel completed within one year of the original booking date).

I am not 100% certain about JB but I believe they have a similar policy.

As the pp mentioned, SW doesn't charge a change fee but JetBlue does so you may want to call them to see just how much the change fee is. My friend is facing a similar issue and because she is flying Jet Blue and is a family of 5, she decided the change fees were too much so she was keeping her existing reservation and taking the RO discount instead. Good Luck.

Changes and Cancellations for Jet Blue. http://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt...e+fees&toggle=1&cop=mss&ei=UTF-8&fr=yfp-t-900
Cancellations or changes can be made prior to scheduled departure for $150 per person. A reservation for a flight with a fare of $100 - $149.99 may be changed or canceled for $100 per person. A reservation for a flight with a fare of less than $100 may be changed or canceled for $75 per person. Beginning with reservations made on May 17, 2013, reservations that are changed or cancelled 60 days or more prior to scheduled departure will incur a reduced change/cancel fee of $75 per person (regardless of the fare amount). For changes, there may also be an increase in fare, which must be paid at time of change using a major credit card or, for Award Flights, using TrueBlue points. Cancellations are for a JetBlue travel credit only, which is valid for JetBlue flights one year. For Award Flight cancellations, TrueBlue points will be re-deposited to the Member's account. If a reservation is not changed or cancelled prior to scheduled departure, all money associated with the reservation is forfeited. Please note that reservations made one week or more prior to a flight's scheduled departure may be canceled without penalty up to 24 hours after the reservation is made. To change or cancel your reservation, visit jetblue.com or call 1-800-JETBLUE (538-2583) in the United States. For a list of international phone numbers please visit http://www.jetblue.com/help/contactus/. Customers with hearing or speech impairments can call our toll-free TTY/TDD telephone number, 1-800-336-

I'll still need to look at the numbers but with the price of flight going up from my original flight and a 400 dollar change fee I don't think its going to be worth it. I should have keep my original date!

Why wasn't free dining offered for the first week in Dec:sad2:

Ouch! I believe with Jetblue as in many other airlines, it depends on the fare. I got a reduced fare on JetBlue and I think it's a $100 change fee per ticket.

Disney doesn't need to offer it then. I'll be in Disney from Nov7-12, and then from Dec 3-9. No free dining for me either time! That first week in Dec is getting more and more crowded. Pop Warner happens then. And with Thanksgiving so late, all those people that normally go the week after Thanksgiving are now going that first week. Add that to the large number of DVC people that go at this time and the PW groups and you have no reason to offer free dining.

You may want to double check with jet blue directly. I think they changed it to a straight flat fee of $75 if the change is before 60 days from flying. If its 60 days or closed it depends on the fare

Change fees are not usually based on fare price; JetBlue is the only airline I know of which does this.
