We're headed there next week and plan to return each afternoon by 2pm to swim. Just wondering what others had experienced in August with the amount of empty chairs at the Volcano Pool or Quiet Pool. Our first stay at the Poly was last December, so there wasn't an issue, but I would imagine that to be a popular place for summer afternoons!

We were there in July and I did have a hard time finding a chair by the Volcano Pool in the afternoon, but there were chairs on the beach. We loved the Poly so much it didn't matter. Enjoy your trip!

Continuing on with this question, anyone know how crowded the quiet pool is during August around that same time...2:00pm-ish??

Although I plan on visiting the volcano pool, I figure since I'll be staying in Hawaii building I might just rather the quiet pool and not dealing with the madness. Is it very crowded, too?

The "quiet pool" always has chairs.:thumbsup2...Along with a much quieter and less hectic atmosphere. We usually head over there when the volcano pool is crowded. At least that has been our experience.pirate:

Thanks for the heads up- I figured those chairs would be hard to come by at the Volcano pool! Maybe my son can get in a few slides over there and then we'll move on over to the quiet pool. Either way, I'm in paradise!:)
