at the Express Machines?

We were at IOA and riding some rides in the morning before heading over to US. Before we left at about 11am, we got some Express Passes for Spiderman. I had four(4) Annuals and the people with us had 2day Park Hoppers (4 of them as well.) We both went to 2 machines at Spiderman Express and swiped our cards approximatly at the same time.

The return time was 5-6 for al 8 tickets.
But the the time to get the next express pass was 6 for the Annual Passes and 12:30 for the park hoppers?

Was it because it was 2 different machines or are there separate rules for different tickets?

Thanks for anyone clearing it up. I should have asked there!

Could have to do with any other express tickets that you were already reserving. Was this the only time you had gotten express tickets that day?

Yes, it was the first express for all 8 tickets, just the AP's were given the much later time to get another express.

If you have any annual pass, do you NOT have to BUY the express passes?

I think he is talking about the express pass gotten from the machines outside the ride, like fastpass.

Annual pass holders still need to purchase express pass booklets if they want them, but they are different from the machine passes.

I don't know the answer to the OP.

Obviously it was a mistake. You should have been able to get another express pass in 2 hours. I use my AP to get Express a lot and have never had a problem like that. It sounds like the machine you used to swipe the AP cards was messed up.

What do you mean when you say you use your AP to get Express?

There are express pass machines just like fast pass machines at Disney. The express passes from those machines are free.

I think you are confusing the express passes with express pass plus booklets that you buy.

With the express pass machines, you put in your ticket or your AP and it gives you a choice of two return times. You pick one times and the express pass is then printed out for you to use.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't know that! They work just like they do at Disney?

I was actually at IOA last week and we tried to put our annual pass in the machine for the express pass and it didn't take it. Any idea why this happened?

Can you get an express pass (for free) for all the rides?

My husband and I have AP's but the rest of our party had 5 day passes, we used the express machine in July and we all were given the same exact times for rides and times to get the next passes, and we used different machines as well.

The passes may have all been given out for the day. I think the express pass is available for just about every ride.

This same thing happened to me this last trip.

I got Express Passes at 12:15 with a return at 6:40 - 7:40. The machine said that with my AP I could get my next Express Pass at 7:40, while, with the other regular tickets, I could get another at 2:15. So I went to customer services to find out what was going on.

They told me that it must be bug in the system, and they gave me 4 "Attraction Admission Passes" for my entire party (one pass worked for all the members of my party). With those, we could use them as Express Passes without specific attractions and return times. We were even able to use them for Shrek, through the Resort FOTL, even though it has no regular Express line.

So I recommend speaking to Customer Service to any AP holder this happens to.
