I once witnessed a father throw a full on adult tantrum when he was told his son was too short to ride Soarin'. The boy was very close to making the height so I'm sure dad thought he was tall enough, but the CM said no. Dad started arguing with the CM, and escalated to yelling. Thankfully his wife got him to go sit down in the waiting area next to the exit and cool off before security had to be called. The little boy, on the other hand, didn't seem to care at all that he couldn't ride.We have witnessed some parents physically pushing their child(ren) along the line and then forcing them to ride-"it's only 50 seconds of your lifetime!!!"
Of which you'll be scarred forever-but hey?!
I actually appreciate that Disney keeps too short kids from entering the line. Eliminates the meltdown from a kiddo who gets all the way to the front of the line & sees the ride but isn't allowed on. I know mine at 2-3 years old would not understand that they can't ride even though they're in line.
