Are there any value 2 bedroom units at Jambo? If so, how many units? Anyone have any luck booking a value 2 bedroom at 7 months out for the second week of December?

Yes, value rooms are located at Jambo, not at Kidani. I will staying in my first value 2-BR in October. I booked 3 nights 10 months out. I don't know exactly how many there are, but I know there aren't many. I was surprised there were any left 10 months out. With December being a popular time, I doubt you will have any luck getting one 7 months out, but it doesn't hurt to try.

I'm pretty sure that there are 10 2 bedrooom lock off value 2 bedrooms in Jambo.

I think it is difficult at 7 months but worth a try--I say go for it and see what happens. DH and I scored 2 value studios for our Oct trip. That way I had enough points for a week in May.

That is correct. But then anyone who books a 1BR takes one of those 2BR lockoffs out of the pool so it would be interesting to know how many of those are actually rented as 2BRs.

while we have yet to stay in one, we've been able to book an AKV 2 bedroom value exactly at our 11 month booking window as our placeholder reservation. not sure if you will have any luck during such a popular DVC travel period at the 7 month window.

I book often at the 7 month mark and usually inquire about AKL value and have never had one available. I think Dec will be tough, since it's so popular for DVC. The one time we got a value studio, it was a last minute reservation about 1 month out. The CM said we lucked out and someone must have just canceled. It was a great way to save points, though. I couldn't tell we had less space than a regular room. Good luck!

It's worth a try for sure. We booked a value 2 bedroom for 4 nights for the first week of December at 11 months and wound up canceling just 3 months before the trip. So I'm sure someones waitlist dreams came true!

Here's a map of the 5th floor of Jambo House. The values are along the Ostrich & Giraffe Trails. All 2-bedrooms in Jambo House are lock-offs (Studio & 1-Bedroom w/connecting door).
