Are there any UK school holidays which aren't horribly crowded?

Our may half term is one week from May 6th (bank holiday). Is it only UK and Ireland off that week?

Good to know the May half term is manageable as it would be great to take Lucas for his 5th birthday. I'm one of those that won't take him out of school at all - comes from my own childhood, but I also don't judge others :)

So 3rd week of may is best then. After French hols and before UK. DD's birthday is may 3rd but we can celebrate a few weeks later, it's worth it to avoid the crowds.

I've no issues taking kids out for a few days, but work in a preschool so need to stick to given hols or take them at quiet times, ie not coming up to xmas, or in Sept when they're all settling in.

we go Sunday 24 March til 28th March please tell me its french school time and not busy just done halloween and it was busy busy:sad2:

Johnny and I (and the whole extended family) are going May half term, but we are staying off site and the prices mean that all 9 of us we can stay for a week, in high grade caravans, with A.P's (driving over) for half of what Disney want this year for all of us! I've never been in May, off site or out of season - summer chick here - but Johnny's parents love May as its quiet but still warm, and don't like paying Disney prices. Have you thought about driving and staying off site??

See you in 4 month ! :yay:

We are going 25th - 31th March and I guess it will be ok without any French holidays at this time.

:thumbsup2

Oh...nothing against the French fellows here....:grouphug:
