I really need your help. I have an essay question to answer and I really don't know where to start!!
The question is How do you make a solution of 500 g or 5% aqueous HCL solution.



Can anyone help??

The question is How do you make a solution of 500 g or 5% aqueous HCL solution.

It's been a few years since I took Chemisty, but maybe I can get you headed toward a solution.

Aqueous means the HCL (hydrochloric acid) is in water. So, I think you need to add 5 parts HCL to 100 parts water. I'm not sure from the wording, if you need to make 500 grams of total solution or if 500 grams is the amount of HCL.

Do you have access to a Chemistry book. You should be able to look up the section on Aqueous Solutions.
