Are there any character meals in Studios?

WE never seem to eat there, although once did Brown Derby. Where do you eat there and why?

No there are no character meals there - I am not a fan of their restaurants - if it were crowded and I wanted a a Fantasmic package - I would probably choose Mama Melrose - but only b/c I have never eaten there

a couple years ago I ate at Hollywood & Vine and there were characters there - are they not doing that anymore? It was a lot of fun, the buffet was okay. I too am unimpressed with the restaurants at MGM, although it's been about 15 years since I've eaten at the Brown Derby (too much $$$ for me now!). We won't be getting park hopper passes this time, but what I have done in the past is go to Epcot after leaving AK or MGM and eaten dinner at the world showcase (there are too many great restaurants there to fit into one trip!)

They quit having this - not sure why!

As noted above, there are no longer any character meals at MGM.

We always make it a point to dine at Mama Melrose, whether we will be at MGM or not. It's one of our favorite WDW restaurants.

oh, that's too bad! it was fun to see all the characters dressed up in hollywood-glam style outfits, and we got lots of attention becos there were only a few people there (maybe that's why they ended it!)

We always have a good time when we eat at the 50's Prime Time Cafe, and the food is good. If you decide to eat there ask for the Peanut Butter & Jelly milk shake, it's to die for.
