Are there any "all-inclusive" trades?

Hi,
Just noticed on another thread that the Tanque Verde Ranch is off the
trade list.

Are there any other trades that have everything included...ie food and activities?

I can't think of an II resort that has mandatory All Inclusive. The two I know about that have meal plans or optional AI and are on the II list are the Beach Palace in Cancun and Paradise Village in Neuvo Vallarta near PV and only the latter is on the DVC exchange list. Most of the AI resorts and all the mandatory ones I know of are with RCI. As a rule, I wouldn't do an AI because they are usually so expensive as to make them only a value for those that eat and drink themselves silly. Plus the quality and food options are often below par and in areas where great restaurant choices abound like Cancun and PV. The exceptions would be Jamaica and DR where one would be squeamish about being off property, esp after dark alone. I'm sure there are many more MX options that have meal plans of one sort or another. If I were truly interested in this option I'd go to TUG and look for those best versed in those resorts and that type of option to decide which ones are an option, get help with quality and decide on value. I know some AI that are mandatory over $1000 per person for a week and many if not most top $800 pp per week. And some that cover up to 4 people to the tune of $4000. RCI AI resorts are easy to get if you know someone that owns, they could get you an AI in your name very easy.

reason hubby loves not spending money on vacation.....even if
it might have cost him more to do it....(although he dosen't believe me)

You are welcome. I guess I have trouble with the concept that it doesn't matter how much it costs, just that I know how much it will be and/or can pay it up front. I can't think of a single AI that I would do, even at the resorts I own at that have them and I get a discount. My brain just can't think that way. Too many great restaurants and not any AI options that I think are good enough to be captive to the resort and food. Plus I've seen too many horror stories with closed restaurants, poor food, poor service and the like. OTOH, there are some fairly good meal plans out there, esp for owners at certain resorts and at times, guests of owners.

We staryed at an AI in Playa Del Carmen..about 40 minutes away from Cancun, very unspoiled, clean and beautiful. The food was very nice, many choices, always open, 24 hour room service, nice nightly entertainment. We left the property for shopping in Playa once and it reminded me of Juarez, so no need to do that. Our only other time off the property was on tours. If you are looking for a very nice AI, mellow vacation time and reasonable prices try the Iberostar resorts. For 2, our 7 night stay including all food and drink, most water sports, and airfare cost $3,200. I would certainly do it again.

We did the Beaches T&C AI in 2002 not using points. I'd rate the experience overall as very high quality.

The food from the seven on site restuarants was cruise line or better quality, good kids program, the pool a smaller but nicer version of SAB and we stayed in an incredible beachfront villa that allowed us to sleep with the veranda doors open to the sea (they really are furnished much like the below promo photo):

But boy was it pricey, ergo, definitely a "one-time splurge" type of thing. From reading Caribbean travel boards, I actually get the sense Beaches has a marketing problem in that they have a lot of guests like us - the "it was great but no way can we afford to do this again" one-timers.
