I would be very careful. If you are required to pay money upfront, I would certainly be very cautious. It sounds like she would be working for a company that would deliver the components and then pick up the finished cases. Is she paid only by the piece? Or a base figure for so many hrs of work and then extra on top of that if she goes over a certain number? She should figure out how many she can do and then break down her time into hours to see what she actually will be making. Is she paid by check with SS and taxes taken out? Or cash, which is another red flag?
I hate to be negative about it but there just aren't too many jobs at home worth doing or there would be a lot more people doing them!
I think the direct selling type of job is quite different. Those are legit and have been around a long time. I have know people who did quite well at it.
