Okay with the help of some fellow DISers I have been researching posts on here. But with starting titles like

"What will I LOVE about CR tower Rooms"

Tell me all about Tower Rooms at CR

etc, I feel the Wing rooms are being neglected.

I cant find much for photos of views from WING rooms- so if you have 'em, post 'em (please)

We are splitting our stay between POFQ and CR and quite frankly if we dont stay in a Wing we wont stay there at all b ecause its too expensive to stay in the tower- I think the price jumps another $120 a night (times 3)

I would love to hear from "Wingers" who loved CR. Are there any out there?

Thanks,
Nicole

We stayed in the north wing last year and loved it. We had a bay-view room and watched the EWP from our room each night. We were about 1 minute away from the tower and also from the walkway to MK, so everything was very convenient. Our room was huge, plenty of room for 2 pack'n plays, double stroller, etc. We have never stayed in the tower, but from our experience last year, we wouldn't mind one bit staying in the north wing again.

We stayed in the wing room 2 years ago and loved it. We usually stay at the POFQ so it was more room - that was nice. It was also more room than the Animal Kingdon Lodge we stayed at this last trip in Feb.

Loved our North Garden Wing room last summer. Had a great view of Bay Lake. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

just an FYI - the South CR wing has the laundry room.
North side is better.
The tower is heavenly - but you hear the song from Chef Mickey's from the bathroom on the North side of the tower.

We also loved our N GW Room at the Contemporary!! :) I'd love to stay there again some day. We had a huge room with a view of the lake. The rooms were very brightly colored & just seemed very Disney to me. One afternoon we went back to the room for a nap & with the patio door open, you could hear the train at the MK faintly in the background. We really loved the walk to/from our room to the MK - by being in this wing we were actually a few minutes closer than walking from the Tower - made it quicker for us to walk than take the monorail.

I would never hesitate to stay in the GW rooms again, but also find it hard to pay the extra money for a tower room. I think you'll enjoy it there! :teeth:

I stayed once in a garden wing room and loved it. It was huge and very quiet. The only drawback was that it was a long walk to the tower, but I didn't mind at all.

I vastly prefer the wings to the Tower. We got a Bay Lake view in the North Garden Wing last summer and fell in love. There was nothing like enjoying your coffee on the patio, watching the boats navigate through the fog; or, alternately, enjoying a late night drink listening to the loons. WDW felt quite far away.

What floor is the best? Is it a 2 or 3 Floor building. Oh and we dont do laundry- Im not a huge fan of walkign a mile to everything- will I be disappointed after the closeness of everything at POFQ?

Its funny- I havn't heard a single person say they stayed in the SOuth Wing.....

We have stayed in both the north and the south wings on different occasions. I thought they were both nice. I actually liked the south better, but I'm not sure why as they are both pretty much the same. Parking seemed easier to find behind the south wing.

there is laundry in both wings of the cr

We stayed in the south wing just this past Dec. We loved it, even though we were at the very end-1st floor. It was a hike to the tower, but I agree with the other poster who said it is Wonderful to sit on the patio and watch the boats go by. Our room was so quiet and since it was on the end, it was very close to the water. It was like being in a room on a lake... The only part of our view that even let us know we were at Disney was the monorail track to epcot.. I didn't park the car, but dh loved the easy parking!

I love the garden wing rooms. We have stayed with a great view of Bay Lake and watched the water pagent at night.

I've never stayed at CR but with all of these reviews it makes me want to stay at a wing room! I've never wanted to stay in the Tower just because it looks so busy and the monorail is so loud but I'm sure the view is great. We're staying at WL this December but a wing room at CR sounds like it could be in my future! :teeth:

I stayed in a north garden wing room last Febuary and the room was nice and big. I didn't care for the decoration of the room though or the walk back to the tower but I loved seeing the Castle late at night change colors. When you opened the patio door you could hear the train from MK and it was cool. If you get a good rate I would recomend staying there. Still it's a dream of mine to stay in the tower on a upper floor and see MK at night from my patio and open my door and see the Monorail glide through the resort. Maybe one day but for now I'll stay at the Poly! :cool1:

We're booked in a wing room in May at CR. We stayed at CSR last week and everyone always talks about how huge it is and how long the hikes are from your room to the food court, etc. We were in Ranchos and I actually didn't think it was that bad. Is the walk from the wing rooms at CR as long as long as the walk to say the Ranchos section at CSR? We stayed at POR last Sept. and I thought the walk to the food court was horrible (didn't feel that way at CSR).

We have stayed in the Tower, North and South wings. The south wing stay was in February. Of course, the tower is fabulous for the view and location, but the rooms are the same as the wings. For the money, I like the wings! After the first day in the tower, we were never in the room enough to enjoy the view! As with most things, we took it for granted! Shame!

Of the two wings, I like the South better as it has a view of the pool and lake (from our room) and the parking lot is much smaller and more manageable.

We requested a room close to the main building and were only 3 rooms out. Great location!

While SOG was closed for renovation/expansion we stayed at the NGW and grew to love it. We were lucky enough to get bay view, 1st floor on the very end so we had a beach just outside our room and a nice secluded patio as well. The rooms are huge and bright.

This is wonderful!! I am so happy to read about successful stays at the wings, like another poster I worry about the walk.

When I went in August 03 I stayed in Jamaica at CBR- I hated the walk to EVERYTHING, then last May we stayed at POFQ- what a dream for getting around, so this May we are doing 5 nights at POFQ and 3 nights at CR- I have requested a North Wing, close to the tower, so I dont have to walk for food as much, I dearly hoping I will love it, but I find it hard to imagine I could love anything as much as POFQ. We start our whole vacation with dinner at Chef Mickey, so I hope that will get me excited about checking in in 5 nights :) Then the day we check in we are going to Universal for the day so we dont have to feel "room-less" because we will be off property all day and not looking to take a nap- then our first night at CR I have reservations at Cali Grille to celebrate our anniversary (I have vowed never to return to FL in August, so we moved our anniversary trip!)

How many floors in the Wing buildings? 2 or 3?

You will love the North Wing....close to everything and HUGE rooms...what more could you ask for!? :sunny:
