Are the "up" characters still around?

they were replaced recently with Lotso from Toy Story 3 (DHS).

The "Up" characters are not making appearances at WDW anymore.

Therefore, I very strongly suggest stopping at Guest Relations when you're at the parks to request that they be brought back. Also write some letters when you get home to let them know that you want them back.

That's horrible that they've already taken them out of the parks. Last summer when we were there the only place we heard that you could see them was in HS and we even missed seeing them there. We're not all that excited about seeing mean old Lotso.

We would love to meet the Up characters, too.

DD8 really wanted to shout "Squirrel" to Dug to see how he would react.

I think the American Adventure at Epcot would be a perfect meet and greet location for them. :)

why not keep them?can'tsee it being much of an expense paying someone to wear a costume.

I have read that besides having to pay a person to wear the suit and a helper, all the costumes require daily up keep and that costs money. I have heard this is one of the reasons for limited Fantasmic showings. Also I guess there is only so much space.

All the characters from all the movies can't be out.

I'm sure when Up replaced Bolt there were Bolt fans having the same complaints and the same when Bolt replaced Wall-E.

If they can afford to keep 38 characters of stitch around as well as maintain his ride etc.... they can keep a few of the other characters as well. There is plenty of demand and there is plenty of room.

I think the Up meet and greet would typically consume 9 FTEs, so not really just one guy in a costume.

they went back to paradise falls in the start of May. Everyone is hoping they will join us again at animal kingdom when they are done at paradise falls.

PS i was a CP at studios!
