Are the Queen beds really Queens?

We've done two cruises, one on the Dream and one on the magic. Both times, I swear the bed felt bigger than a Queen (we have a queen at home).... are they really Queen sized or are they some kind of Disney magical beds that make me feel smaller?

I do not know about the beds on Disney ships but often hotels will have extended length double and/or queen beds in their rooms. Maybe I will bring a tape measure next cruise and solve the mystery.

I have never measured, but I have a queen at home and the beds on the ships seem to be the same size to me. Funny thing is, I saw a post here once that was saying the opposite, that the beds on the ships felt smaller than a true queen.

It's funny you say that, as I have always thought the exact same thing. We have a queen at home and the beds on the ship definitely seem bigger to me. But then, I also felt the same way when we were on a NCL cruise last summer - queen bed, but seemed larger.

I think I'm just so happy to be on a cruise, that everything just feels better than at home!

Having a California King at home, hotel bed sizes are always a crap shoot. We've had queen beds as big as the bed at home and others smaller than what I would call a double. DCL I'd call an average queen sized mattress. I wish it had box springs, but also like the ability to slide the suitcase underneath on a longer cruise.

Seems the same size as my queen beds at home. I've never felt that it was bigger or smaller.

I'm a little nervous for this. My husband is 6'5" 350...and I'm not a small girl either. I hope they're true queen or bigger...I don't want us to be kicking each other lol

The cruise ship bed felt bigger than our queen at home. I loved it! My DH is totally a space hogger so I slept great on the cruise.
