It says on the allersnet menu that they are! and the noodles are gone. Is it a mistake or can anyone confirm this?

I know alot of people loved those cheesy potatoes! me included :)

i doubt they will ever be back, at least in their original form. They were removed after Disney's push to remove ALL trans fats from their restaurant menu items. Those potatoes were full of trans fats...

Unless the chef found a way to recreate the potatoes withOUT trans fats (which would cost $$$$, due to having to use "real" cheese vs. processed) and REAL butter vs. margarine, etc., I doubt they are really back.

I'll be there on Friday, so I can report back then.

I see Allears updated ohanas menu March 2009.

does not mean a thing. People were posting the same thing last time allears supposedly updated the Ohana menu. This is probably the 3rd or 4th time I've seen a thread like this in the last year. Every couple of months the Allears menu says it's updated, and says potatoes. And so far it's been wrong every time.

We have yet to find an Allears menu that is actually all correct & up to date. On our last two trips to WDW in January 2009 & September 2008, there were so many discrepancies I can't begin to count them. And at least a third of the restaurants we went to were supposedly updated the same month we were there. So we just use the Allears menu as a planning tool just to give us an idea of the kinds of foods to expect at a given restaurant & the general price range...knowing full well that the particulars & specifics may be quite different.:thumbsup2

I was bummed about the noodles until I actually tried them. They were quite good. Not as good as the potatoes, but tasty nonetheless.

Menus on unofficial sites should never be considered official, current and up to date menus. The menus at WDW change quite often and the unofficial sites must rely on readers to provide their menus.

We ate at 'Ohana on St. Patrick's Day and we had noodles! They were yummy~ but I do miss the maui potatoes!!:flower3:

Food and service were excellent and plentiful~we even got to watch Wishes from our table; we were lucky to be seated right at the window~like a Master Card moment~Priceless!!:lovestruc

We ate there on Monday night and noodles it was.
However, they were quite yummy, so no complaints from our crowd. Everyone loved the meal and had a great time.

My own personal rant- their liquor prices are outrageous. My glass of wine was $12. Sorry, that's a bit much.

Actually, those potatoes can still be found at Olivia's, Turf Club and Yachtsmen and maybe some other places too. They taste exactly the same as the ones O'Hana used to have. I was told by our server at O'Hana they were taken out because they didn't really match the theme of the meal even though they called them "Maui" potatoes or some such thing.

To me the noodles are okay, I miss the rice they used to have.

I agree! I'd rather have the rice and it would still fit in with the theme.
