If BO is winning, then I'm sure they are accurate. If McCain is ahead then they mean nothing.

it wouldn't be the first time a Poll was inaccurate, however when all the Polls from varying sources indicate the same trend, then I do believe that the trend is mostly accurate.

I won't read anything from that particular site however.

Exactly, who are they asking?

I know that they are not asking all the people that only have a cell phone. That includes a lot of the people here on the DIS board and lots and lots of people under the age of 30 who don't own a landline.

And over 30 -- my mom, over 60, does not own a landline. My sister over 30 does not own a landline. My number is unlisted. I think ALOT of people aren't being asked. The only true results will be those counted November 4.

I have been disheartened by the polls the past couple days. I hope it's true.

We got called 3 or 4 nights ago to participate in a poll. DH took the call so I'm not sure which one it was. It was a first for either of us. We were also both shocked, as the polls pretty muc only release data for who got the most "promised" votes, but they asked him a ton of different questions on a wide range of issues and the election.

I'm sure the poor girl on the other end had no idea what she was getting herself in for, as DH is quite blunt and outspoken when it comes to politics, and thinks Obama is pretty close to the spawn of satan.

As for the OP, no way will I give Daily Kos the benefit of even one higher hit on their trash website. Sorry, if you want it read you'll have to post it here, as there are many people that refuse to go to that site.
