Are the beach cottages in great condition?

Are the beach cottages at VB in great condition?

We have been to VB numerous times and are thinking of heading back in the Fall.

We generally have been very pleased with our room at VB. Some minor mildew, mold issues but nothing major.

So, let me know if you have stayed in one.

The Beach Houses are well maintained. As with any villa at any DVC resort, there will be issues that may need to be corrected. If you find one of those villas, be sure to let the housekeeping/maintenance staff know as soon as possible. They are usually very prompt to correct any concerns you may have.

While I have not stayed in a Beach House, I have toured the VB Beach House units and found them to be in great condition- as were the other villas we saw at the resort- including the ones in which we have stayed.

I have stayed in a Vero beach cottage, and agree completely with Doc's view.
The cottages are kept up as nice as any DVC property, but nothing is 100% perfect, 100% of the time.

It has been a year since I stayed in one, and it was great except it did not have a front porch swing like the others did. Brackets were there, swing was missing. I would have loved having that swing because it was not yet hot - just perfect weather and bugs were not out yet. Maybe next time.........

The upstairs porch door would not stayed closed once we opened it. We had to pull at chair up as close as we could to keep it closed. There were several little problems with it but it was mostly OK. It is very lovely with the ocean view.

When we stayed at VB last summer they were doing quite a bit of work on at least one of the cottages. Looked like a scheduled refurbishment.

We stayed in a beach cottage last September and it was in great condition. There was some crud on the couch, but a call to housekeeping quickly cleaned that up. It was total luxury and really easy to get spoiled.
