This is a question that's been on my mind, too. All the 'news' coverage is around Tesla vandalism. Other EVs and definitely other cars continue to be vandalized, but no real conversation about those. There is zero doubt the people who vandalize should be charged with the vandalism. But to single out the Tesla portion of the vandalism and trying to make it "domestic terrorism" is strictly political rhetoric in a period of our history where political rhetoric is a big problem.
But people need to stop this nonsense of equating damage to a Tesla as a way to get back at the owner of the company. It's flawed and only hurts common people, not the owner. In too many cases, it's just another excuse for the vandalism.
This is a good point. I have know some people to be against EV's in general - they sort of irrationally dislike them. I don't know anywone who would vandalize them, but I could imagine that it happens. It's not much different than when Hummers were very popular and some people didn't care for that - and might express it. Interestingly, it's the same people who hate EV's that are adamantly defending Tesla, and the likely EV buyers who now really dislike them.
