Are we allowed to bring small scissors into the parks? The ones I have are for children and the blades are about 2 or 2 1/2 inches long. Will they be allowed through security at the park entrance? Thank you.

Are they blunt blades?
A plane would not allow them. I am not sure about the parks but I would not try it.
Why do you need them??

I am going to put them in the checked suitcase. Even though they are supposedly small enough to get through airport security, I wasn't going to risk it on the plane. They are blunt blades and under the 4" limit. They cut moleskin better than my manicure scissors, so that is why I wanted to bring them into the parks. Then I can just cut whatever size moleskin I need when, and if, I need it.

mine were not that big. I have some from a sewing kit that I took into the parks to cut moleskin with last year. either they never noticed them in my bag or didn't care. Mine are all of about two inches total though.

you could probably put a rocket launcher in your bag and they wouldn't notice. Seems like the security checks are all smoke and mirrors.

Either that, or I cut a few different sizes and had them in my little baggie with bandaids, etc. If I had a problem, usually one of the sizes I had would do the trick. I would then just replace that size back at the hotel for the next day in case I needed it. Worked like a charm!

I brought a small child's scissors into the parks this past March. I had it in the moleskin package, just in case security wanted to know what it was for. No one questioned it. And I was so happy I had it by the end of the day and I needed that moleskin!

Security is there just tp slow the flow of traffic. Ever notice how little they check when it;s not busy during mid-day or so . Then when the turnstyles get backed up they take longer to check each person.

Now I'm sure they have a list of things to check for but in all you could walk in with a gun in your pocket while they check the sunlotion in your bags .

You should be fine with those .

Thanks for the help everyone! We leave for the Polynesian in two days. I've never been to Disney World when it is this hot (and it appears it will be rainy too), so I'm worried we're all going to have feet/shoe issues. Even broken in shoes can make feet sore when you are sweating or wet from rain. I have moleskin, bandaids and blister bandaids. Hopefully that's enough!

I took scissors into the park for the very same reason last year. I went several days without anyone noticing them. Then one day while at MK they said I couldn't bring them in. They took me over to little lockers that I could put them in and pay $1 for the day. After that I didn't chance them and just cut a variety of sizes in the moleskin.

Just keep them in your pocket and you'll be fine. I've gotten in at both WDW and Disneyland multiple times with an Emerson CQC10 tactical folding knife (4.5" blade) and a Kershaw Blur assisted opener in my pocket. No problems at all.

wow thanks! I never heard of that before, I just use a normal bandaid haha

I wracked my brain to try and figure it out but came up with nothing
