Are separate reservations really necessary for SW?

Do I NEED to get the boarding passes online in order to get A's? We'll be at the airport just about 2 hours before our flight.

If the flight originates in your city, I don't think it's necessary if you arrive that early. If the flight is starting out at another airport and just adding passengers in your city, then your chances are a bit more iffy.

That said, I've never NOT been able to get seats together on flights to MCO, and our flights do not originate here. We normally use the kiosks about 2 hours before departure time. We don't always get A's, but we've never been last on.

We have never done anything online with boarding passes for SW flights. If you get there in the 2 hr range before your flight leaves...you should have no problem. We have always gotten A's and B's...and sat together....some folks on here seem to panic over this. Its really nothing to worry about.

happy planning,

Thank you! That's what I was hoping. But, then, I got scared reading about everyone else printing their boarding passes.

Really, though, if someone else wants to sit near my unaccompanied 6, 7, or 8 year old - fine by me! :)
