Columbus Day is celebrated October 8, 2012 this year. Our school is closed.

Our school doesn't do Columbus Day as a holiday, but the students do get off for Yom Kippur (usually right around the same time).

None of the local Orlando school systems are off on Columbus Day. This includes Orange, Osceola and Seminole Counties.

In AZ most schools are out the full week of Columbus Day for Fall Break.

Lots of schools in northeast 'celebrate' it too, being a federal holiday many parents have the day off
