are rooms in room block actually near each other?

We blocked a bunch of rooms at three different hotels...but now i am wondering, within each hotel, are the rooms going to be near each other? For example, since i think most of our guests will be staying at All-star movies, it'd be nice if they could all be somewhat close to each other (like in the same building) so the kids (and adults!) can hang out with each other. I don't want them all spread out across the resort if that's possible. Does group reservations try to block all of the rooms near each other, or should i call and specifically ask?

I asked during our planning session and was told by our WP that we should call and specifically ask. She said that they don't do it by default. I'm thinking I'll wait to call until it's a little closer to our date, so that the request doesn't get "lost" between now and then. And I might call a couple times or also call the resorts directly, too...
