Are Rivers of Light Dining Package seats better than FP seats?

We have a Tusker House breakfast ADR set up with Rivers of Light package but since we are spending multiple days at AK I am wondering if we should just go with the FP option. Last time we went to Fantasmic the Dining Package guests were seated first but I was reading with RoL that FP and Dining guests are both seated 45 mins early. Is there any advantage at all to the Dining Package if we are able to get a FP and can arrive 1 hour prior to our showtime of 7:45 pm? It will be a Saturday in late October and so far the park closes at 7:30 and there is only 1 show that night.

It is a more centrally located seating area but you could find comparable seating in the FP area by arriving at your planned time.

If you book a fastpass for it, you won't be able to get any additional fastpasses after your initial 3. I think that's an enormous disadvantage. I would keep the dining package.

Imo I think the FP section has the best and most centered view

I have a FP for it, but I'm not planning to arrive at the park until late afternoon, hit FoP, Safari, then RoL (all with FP). I agree if you are going to be there all day, the dining package is probably the better choice, so you can get additional FP if you choose to. I think the view is very similar from both sections, so doing one over the other doesn't necessarily mean you'll get a better view.

Just to throw in my two cents: I wouldn't bother with Fastpass or dining package for this show. Especially the dining package, because I don't believe the show is worth paying any kind of premium for. It's pleasant enough, but there's just nothing to it. We went in early June and just went in the regular standby line and got in with absolutely no problem at all. Don't get too high of an expectation for this show. It's OK. Not worth ANY money, and not worth burning a Fastpass. It's basically boats and images and people in costumes waving their arms around a lot.

Yes, that is correct.

Had a FP for it. CMs never checked bands for the FP. We did have great seats though. Down at the front center.

I wouldn't count on finding any same day FP's. RoL FP's were already gone 2+ weeks out when there was 2 showings a night
