Are restaurants and gas stations opened on Labour Day?

This coming Labour Day will be the 2nd day of our drive back home from WDW - Toronto, so I was wondering are restaurants and gas stations across the United States open with regular hours like any other days of the year or do they close earlier? More specifically I am talking about locations in the States of Tennessee, Kentucky and Ohio.

Typically, most U.S. retail establishments are open normal hours during the Labor Day weekend.

As a matter of fact, the only facilities that are closed are state/federal government offices (to include the U.S. Postal Service).

Yes, pretty much everything will be open. I even bought a car on Labor Day one year.

Are you coming through the Cincinnati area?

Gas stations and most restaurants will be open. However, there are a few places that will close a little early to allow families to get together for Labor Day festivities.

Businesses around here will treat Labor Day like it was a Sunday. I think you'll be fine.
