..available at any of the parks ? I know on our last trip we bought a big cup for x amount and then were able to refill it for around $1.29. I can't remember if this was at Disney or Universal. :confused3

They are available at AK and the waterparks. When we went last year, the waterpark mug was an insulated mug and was like $11 or $12, but the refills are free. At AK, it is a plastic green cup (that sweats) and has a huge animal head with a built in straw for a top. I think it was like $6 or $7, but then you paid a bit for the refill. SeaWorld also had a refillable cup, like the ones at AK (but without the giant animal head).

Obviously those toppers really bothered me. Totally changed the center of gravity on the cup and it kept tipping over in the cup holder. Very annoying and sticky!

Hope that helps.

Also depending where you stay, we stayed at All Star last time and you can buy a mug and get free refills at any of the All Star resorts for your whole stay.It worked well for us.We filled it in the morning before we went to the park and them when we can back at night.

I have learned from these boards recently that if you purchased a refillable mug at Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach in the past you can bring it and buy a new bar code for a discounted priced rather than buy a whole new mug.

Thanks for the tip. By the way, does the barcode just last for one day at the water parks, or for your length of stay? TIA.

I wonder why this is offered at DAK and the water parks and not MK, Studios or Epcot?

It's that whole recycle thing. And that they don't want any straws, plastic covers, etc on the ground because of the animals. Mostly because of the animals safety though.

Maybe it's because of the straws. Since AK dosen't allow them (and neither do places like Sea World) they figure they can convince you to pay the extra for the animal topper ones (yes I hate the big heads too-I take them off first thing, at least on SW one that is) so you can have a built in straw. Or maybe because it's so much hotter at AK? Just my thoughts.

Probably only one day since when you originally buy the mug it is only for that one day....
