Are Quick Service Places Underrated?

With a good deal of focus on the TS places and their availability, are the Disney QS places underrated? I just spent some time looking at the menus offered at all 4 parks and the resorts and it seems like Disney goes pretty far in offering diverse, out of the ordinary counter service meals as an alternative to the higher priced table service restaurants.

My family has always been big on at least one TS per day to relax, but honestly, now that everyone is older, the QS could be looked at as a nice alternative.

What are your thoughts?

The past January was our first trip as a family and we had the QS dining plan as part of the SPD promo. We only did one TS (paid OOP of course, 'Ohana) and while it was *amazing* no doubt, I was in a way thankful for all the QS due to our almost 3 year old and a desire to do as much as possible in the parks whereas sitting down for a TS meal once a day does cut into that. I actually think the opposite of you, I think QS works better while I have a younger child who likely won't do well sitting through a daily longer TS meal. I hope to do more TS when she gets older and we can truly relax when we sit down for a nicer meal.

I give a big thumbs up to these QS...
Sunshine Seasons
Be Our Guest
Yorkshire Fish and Chips
Wolfgang Puck Express
ABC Commisary
Pecos Bills (mostly atmosphere)
Columbia Harbor House

To name a few. :)

Yes, I totally understand that too, remembering when my kids were young, good point.
Having gotten caught up in the TS ADR frenzy, and after looking at the QS menus, I was thinking it might be a nice alternative. There are certainly a lot more options than traditional burgers and hot dogs.

i think many QS restaurants are underrated.
personally i enjoy eating at QS restaurants.
i generally find more options that i like at QS vs TS restaurants.
i'm a sandwich and side kind of girl where as some members of my family are meat and potatoes people.
we find that there's a fair amount of both options at most QS locations where as at most TS locations is more meat and potatoes type fare.
i also feel like QS locations can actually be more relaxing than TS locations.
i like being able to walk up and get my food and find my own seat and sit there as long as i want.
at TS locations you have to arrive early, wait potentially a long time to be seated, and then i feel like i should leave as soon as i can so that others can be seated.

don't get me wrong i do enjoy a number of the TS locations but i do prefer QS to TS.

Yeah, I like TS too, but understand how QS can be more relaxing. Thanks for weighing in.
