We bought one this year and I love it. Since DH does not help put the tree up it made it a lot easier for me. I can never seem to get the lights spaced right. You still decorate it yourself so I think it is great.
We have a great one -- 7 ft. tall, very full and pretty with about 1,000 lights. It is wonderful. Took all of 25 minutes to set up and light including lugging the box up from the basement and changing 3 individual light bulbs that had burned out.
Funny you asked -- we just ordered one on-line last night at treeclassics.com It gets delivered on Thursday. I think they look really great in the picture, but ask me again on Thursday and I may have a completely different answer.
We LOVE ours! This will be our 3rd Christmas with it. We always had real trees before, so this was a big break from tradition! I almost ruined our hardwood floors, so I really had to switch. This one is 7 1/2 feet tall, full of lights & in 3 sections. It's easier to put up than a real tree. We always had trouble getting the real tree straight in the stand. We spent a little more for this than for one you'd find in Target or Walmart, but it looks great.
My dad has one and loves it. We decided to be different this year and bought a fiber optic tree. It is 6 1/2 feet and I wish we had bought the 71/2 foot one. I think it needs to be taller.
We love ours so much....We bought it last year at Target...the biggest baddest one they had....it was worth every penny. I have always had real trees but I could never find enough strong branches to put all my ornaments on.....not a problem any more...Decorating the tree is so much fun now....the stringing of the lights was the only part that I hated so now there is nothing to dread. Go quick before the good ones are all gone!!!
We bought a 7 1/2 ft prelit one just this past weekend. It looks great! However, we are using it as our second tree. We still put up a real one in the living room. The artificial one is in our family room. We went to four stores before we found this one. Many stores were sold out or the ones they had were poor. The one we bought was at Michael's.
My neighbor has one and loves it. It is very pretty.
My Aunt bought one and had to take it back because a section of lights kept turning off and then on again. They replaced it and I'm told her new one is doing great.
We've had one for 3 years ( DW and DS have asthma), and it looks GREAT. Setup is soooooooooooooo easy, and one still can have fun hanging up ornaments. We'll never go back to a real tree.......
Thanks for all the info. We bought an artifical tree after we had our second December baby and just couldn't manage to get out and buy a real one. We love it but the one job I still don't like is stringing on lights. I'm not ready to replace our tree now but I'll certainly get a pre-lit one when I do.
I was thinking of getting one of these this year too. Thanks for the "reviews." I will wait till after the Holiday to get one, as the sales should be good.
Haven't put mine up yet, but we just bought a 7 1/2 ft, prelit and fiber optic tree at Sam's Club for $138. Looked good in the store. There are 6 sections to put together. Should be an easy job. Woman at the door said she had put up the same tree the day before and it was beautiful.
funny this came up, I was also thinking of buying my first artificial tree this year. I was debating to get one before Christmas or get one on sale after Christmas........Will they still be around and on sale?
I thought I could get one at a Christmas store after Christmas, but there weren't any great ones left. So glad we bought the one we did in early December two years ago. When I see the prices of real trees, I realize that I'm ahead of the game price-wise by this year.
