Are Pools Open in December/January?

We are planning on coming in Dec. 27- Jan. 1st 2013. Will we be able to swim do you think?

The pools will be open. Whether or not it's warm enough for you to enjoy, that's up to you.

We were there during the cold snap they had in January, staying at POR. The pool was open but there was no life guard on duty. And each night there were some people swimming.

And while the evening temps were probably very cool to some people; for people like us from Minnesota we could have handled drinking a cocktail or two pool side but the outdoor bars were closed a couple of nights.

The pools are heated, but it is a coin toss as to whether or not it will be warm enough to swim. We've gone from swimming one day to winter coats the next at Disney!
