If the person you speak to at Member Services tells you transferred points can't be banked ask him/her to check with a supervisor. I knew from reading these boards that transferred points could in fact be banked, but was told when I called that they couldn't be. After asking a supervisor the person at member services did in fact bank the points for me.

As has been said before, people on the DIS often know more than Member Services.

My info suggests that transferred points fall outside the banking windows and are independent of them.

Simply that the information I've seen suggests that one can likely bank up until the last day of the use year for transferred points and that they do not count toward your banking totals nor limited by them. It is one of those areas that could change and the answer may vary from one CM to another.

One thing to note about doing this, as I am having a problem with member services as I type. I transferred points into my March 2006 use year and banked them into my March 2007 use year. I now am trying to transfer additional points but am told I can't since I already did a transfer this year. I pointed out that the transfer was done during the March 2006 use year, but am told that since I banked the points into the March 2007 use year the system now sees transferred points in my March 2007 use year and will not allow me to do a transfer for this use year.

So apparently if you bank transferred points you use two years of transfer privileges.

NO but they will have to do it manually. Ask for a supervisor.

I am curious about this… I will need an additional 12 points for a reservation next year. Someone on the rent/trade board has 13 points available for transfer for $7.50, but they expire June 1. If I get them transferred to my account, I can then bank them into my 2008 UY (obviously these points have passed the banking deadlines)? I suppose asking MS is the only way to know for sure!
