We will be at WDW the last week in September and I have been reading up on MNSSHP pirate: . It sounds so awesome, but I have a few questions. Our DD will be 3 and our DS will be 18 months. Would they enjoy this or would it be too scary? I'm also afraid of spending that much $$ and not getting to stay late enough to get our money's worth. Also,we are having dinner at 5:00 at Le Cellier at Epcot. Would we have time to go back to ASMo to get costumed up? Lastly, do they sell out of tickets sometimes or would we be able to buy them earlier that week if we decide to go? Sorry for so many questions, but I appreciate any help.

We went to MNSSHP in 2004 with our boys, they were 3 years old and 15 months old at the time, and they loved it! Well, the 3-yo did, the baby just went with the flow, but he seemed to enjoy the parade.

We had dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern sometime around 5 pm, they closed the park at 6, and we had to go to Tomorrowland while they cleared out the park. That worked out really well for us. We stayed until it was almost over, left at maybe 10 minutes before closing.

Some of the nights will sell out, but I think it's mostly Halloween night and another night or two leading up to that.

Thanks for the info. BTW, did your 3 year old stay awake that whole time? I'm afraid we would get some severe crankiness. Plus, we will be eating breakfast at Chef Mickey's the next morning at 9:30. Is worth going to watch the first parade, trick or treat a little and see the fireworks :wizard: ? Aren't those all done earlier in the evening? I'd like to have everyone back to the room and in bed by 11:00.

We took my dd who was 2-1/2 last year. The parade has the villians and was kinda scary for the younger kids. If you are careful with that, it should be a blast.

We took DD when she was 13 months and she enjoyed some of it, slept through some of it in her stroller and clapped a lot during the fireworks! :rotfl2:

She was dressed as tinkerbell and loads of people (CM's and guests) spoke to her - she enjoyed all the extra attention! :teeth:

See how your little ones fair on the run up to the MNSSHP nights, and if you think they'll be fine, go ahead and take them! ;)

We took DS2.5 last fall on Halloween night and he LOVED it!! He was dressed as Mickey and he loved being there in his costume! We slept in the morning of, had an easy day and went to the park around 4:30 with dinner at Tony's at 5:30. We stayed until 11:30 since he was having so much fun! We slept in pretty late the next day though!
Have fun!!

It sounds as though many of us had the same plan...

We slept in that morning...went for a swim after lunch and headed to MNSSHP at 4pm....DS6, DS7 and DD23months! We too had dinner at LTT at 5:20...which although being a bit hectic did warm up the little one to GIANT SIZED characters.....we were a bit worried b/c she was terrified of the Big mascots at the local mall only a few months earlier! But seeing Minnie, Goofy ChipandDale, Pluto in costume was a great warm up.

The first thing we did was head over to see Mickey Mouse and when she went running up to him from 30 feet away and threw her arms around him it made the whole trip worthwhile!! :goodvibes

We ended up closing the park...the kids lasted all nite...but we had also flown from western Canada (with a 2 hour time change) and went our first real evening in Orlando...so the kids hadn't yet adjusted to the new time...so to them it was only 10pm!! pirate:

So fun we booked it twice this year....Yipeee Yahooo!!

My 3-yo did stay awake the whole time, but his normal bedtime at home was 8 pm. We had been to a park in the morning, then back to the resort for a nap before our dinner. Regretted it a bit the next morning, as the limo picked us up at 7:15 am for our flight home, but that was just the way it had to be!

Thanks everyone for the great advice :thumbsup2 . I think I will do as suggested and see how they do the other nights leading up to it.

DH and I are taking our DD's to MNSSHP and our DD's will be 13 months and the other will be 2.5 years old. I will have some help though at MNSSHP, my mom and 2 sister's will be there with us.

Our 1 year old son loved the MNSSHP! He was not scared at all. He loved the parades and characters dressed up. We dressed him as a Wiggle and lots of people commented to us and to him about it! It was a lot of fun and memories to last a lifetime! princess:
