We are visiting Disney October 15-22. I have read lots of reviews on this site and have made reservations for the following restaurants. I would love feedback to see if I made the right decisions.

Lunch:
1- Tony's Town Square
2- Prime Time Cafe
3- Rainforest Cafe

Dinner:
1-Ohana
2-Kona
3-T-Rex

Also, will be spending one day at Univ/IOA. Any ideas about where to eat in the park?

Also, we are staying off-site so need a few ideas for dinners? Is Landry's any good?

Thanks! KT

im very concerned about your Tony's ADR.......cause its AWFUL! :lmao: Seriously thou, they have the worst food i've ever had in my life. I tried my son's spag/balls, and i refused to swallow. It was bad. My chicken parm was gross too. I think their tomato sauce kills everything. most ppl that stay away from tomato sauce dishes seemed to like their meals. But even their salad wasnt good, i had the cesar salad and it was wilted. I'd change this ADR. Esp since your paying out of pocket. If i paid my meal in cash i'd be TICKED! You have other options such as crystal palace (YUM for all meals), liberty tree, (both in MK). Nearby you have Whispering Canyon. Only a boat ride away!

For IOA/Universal, i didnt find the options that great. We ate at 3 broomsticks/H.Potter. it was delish! But very pricey.

Can't comment too much on your WDW choices except to say we did enjoy lunch at 50's prime time and didnt care for Rainforest Cafe.

I would eat at Mythos at IOA. The food is fantastic.

Off site we have enjoyed meals at TuTu Tango, Bahama Breeze and BB Kings (check restaurant.com for discounts on this one!).

I second the recommendation for Mythos at IOA!! I think it's won repeat awards for best theme park restaurant in the US...we've been there and absolutely loved the meal!!

If I'm being honest, I'm not a fan of the restaurants on your plan (except Kona, love it there), but everyone has different tastes/likes/dislikes and I think everyone should try every restaurant to find their personal favorites :)

I would ditch rainforest cafe honestly, not worth it and not ver exciting since its a chain.

If you were planning to eat at the one at AK I would hop the bus to AK and eat at Boma

Kona is great!

We love 50s Primetime and Ohanas and they are both must do's on our trips. I haven't been to Tonys or the AK Rainforest Cafe in about 10 years but both were just okay (the reason we haven't been back). The others I've never tried. When we went to IoA we ate at the 3 broomsticks and loved it but we are all huge Harry Potter fans so it was more the fact we were drinking butterbeers than that its a really good place to eat.

Dump Tony's for Liberty Tree Tavern.

Maybe DH & I are the only ones that actually like Tony's. DH insists on going every trip for their chicken parm. We are from Jersey, we are slightly snobbish when it comes to pasta dishes, tomato sauce, bread, and pizza. We both like their sauce, it's not the typical runny sauce we find at most restaurants outside the NY/NJ region

Rainforest and T-Rex, like others have said, is nothing special. IMHO I would skip those and go for something more "disney"

Prime Time Cafe wasn't bad, we didn't care much for the atmosphere but the food wasn't terrible.

I have never tried your other Dinner options so I can't comment on those.

I would do either/or TREX or Rainforest Cafe. Those are both cool places but similar in terms of food. I have never had TREX but Rainforest is not that great. The food is what isn't great. It is very overpriced. At least at Disney restaurants you get bread to start with. Rainforest is very bare bones!

Keep Ohana and Kona. Skip TRex(crowded, generic, loud)/Rainforest (pricey & generic)/Tonys (bad food). Never been to Primetime.

I put comments above. We love Ohana...it is really good.

I'm surprised at the hate for Tony's. I really enjoyed eating there. I had a steak and my gf had some sort of pasta. they were super tasty. one of our favourite meals of our last trip
