We changed a lock on each door (still have 2 additional locks to change but want them rekeyed to match the others first) and got new keys cut. I got finding nemo!

We still have to heat our pools out here. The evenings cool down enough to make the water chilly.

Evenings are pretty hot here. June-Aug is perfect temp for unheated pools. I think we will get a solar cover tho to trap in the heat at night. Should make it usable til Nov or so

So my coworkers wanted to see the house today,. We drove over and my key didn't work!

We replaced the locks yesterday and I had a key copied for me to use (I like the fun ones with the bigger heads to turn). It didn't even go IN. COMPLETELY wrong. So I couldn't get in. GRRRR

I met Matt there after work so he opened the door. Now I have an original key so that should work. He is going to get my key fixed and the other locks rekeyed after work. I am going to paint after work and then wait for the cable guy to come back. Phew!

He has to get a new AC pump too bcz it seems ours is broken. So I will be painting with no AC. I hope it hasn't gotten too hot in there!

That's so weird about the keys. I know I had a special Red Sox key made and i have to struggle to open the door. Something is always weird or off about copies I think.

I had a Minnie key made for my apartment and it's perfect. I think the key they used was too wide or something tho because it won't even go in

The heat will help it dry faster so take care not to get too far ahead of yourself in painting...

How would I get far ahead of myself? Sorry I don't have a ton of experience with painting.

OK... Are you using a roller? If you put paint on the roller and put the roller to the wall, and roll it up and down the path on the wall and then move it to the right say and start a new up/down path, if you paint until the roller is dry (From the heat or lack of paint) and then put it back in the wet paint, it will leave trash (dried paint flakes) on the wall and look really bad.

Just make sure everything stays wet until you leave that are and move on... Hopefully that makes sense..

Bags should be completely packed tonight, ready to just throw the last minute stuff in on Friday morning.

Florida weather is looking about normal for this time of year. I just have to hope that the other severe weather going on elsewhere doesn't impact our flight some way. California weather is always the same so no issue here

It feels pretty normal out here for me. Don't worry about the afternoon thunderstorms. We had a nice light show last night though!!
